As both drummer and sound engineer, Jeff brings the muscle to performance and production alike—but it was providence that brought him to the Hymn Remix Project fresh out of Audio Production/Engineering at Metalworks Institute. For Jeff, the Hymn Remix Project is a culmination of everything he has learned, and allows him the opportunity to bless others while wearing the hats of producer, engineer, editor, and mixer.
Jeff’s training at Metalworks included working under Alf Annibalini (Producer/Engineer for Nelly Furtado and Our Lady Peace) and Elliott Sairan (who worked with Dale Penner—Producer for Nickelback). Prior to that, he completed a BFA in Music at York University, where he studied jazz percussion and world rhythms under Barry Romberg and Rick Lazar, and performed with the York Percussion Ensemble. He also went to Honduras in the summer of 2007 as part of CTI Music Ministries.
Jeff is currently the senior engineer and studio manager at Howl Studio. He continues to play drums at Mississauga Chinese Baptist Church and various other local events.
